21st Century Professional Development Courses for Educators
MultipleMinds Educational Foundation Professional Development courses are designed to meet the needs of today’s teachers. Our courses provide educators with powerful, innovative and effective lesson activities that integrate multiple-intelligences theory, differentiated instruction, 21st century skills, and inquiry. Each of our programs is designed to motivate students to achieve subject mastery using state-of-the-art technology. Our graduate-level workshops include: 21st Century Research Essay for Teachers: a 40-hour intensive program for K-12 teachers and after-school program tutors and Creative Writing, Digital Book Design and Publishing.
Experiential Learning Activities
All of our educator–specific programs are hands-on production classes. Participants participate in experiential learning activities that include sensory awareness as an innate learning resource which brings about multiple ways of perceiving information, ideas, and emotions. Our courses engage teachers in critical thinking, writing, and production of multimedia presentations for science, history, social studies, and language arts. The elements of documentary movie production become the structure and process for subject matter exploration and mastery.
Essential Software Instruction for 21st Century Schools
MultipleMinds instructors provide effective and creative training on the use of a number of software programs available on both Mac and PC formats. Our exclusive, proprietary 21st century educator-specific multimedia curriculum offers detailed instructions for 21st century classroom applications. Software programs taught in the introductory level teacher courses include Microsoft Word®, PowerPoint®, Adobe Photoshop Elements®, Apple Final Cut Express® and Adobe Premiere Elements®. Additionally, teacher-participants experience fun and dynamic strategies in multi-format internet research learn to shoot video with a purpose, and apply their newly acquired skills to specific, core subject areas.
Continuing Education Credit
MultipleMinds professional development courses are recognized by University of New Mexico’s Institute of Professional Development as a 3 graduate credit program upon completion of the course requirements. We submit a grade and with an additional $280 for tuition, teacher participants get 3 graduate credits in educational technology.
